The Fair Tribe’s Story

Posted by Leandra Nobs on

Dear reader! I am over the moon to find you on my site, a project I have poured my heart and soul into.

It was not too long ago that I found myself sitting at my desk uninspired in a corporate office, wishing that I could spend my time on something that has more meaning to me. I realised that if I want to see a change in my life and do something I truly believe in, it is time to act. I decided to quit my job and went to Bali on a mission to find a project that I love working on. That is when the idea for The Fair Tribe was born.

I was always deeply concerned with the state of the environment, the way humans treat animals as well as fellow humans. It was these causes that I wanted to dedicate my time and energy to but was not quite sure how and in what way. While living on the magical island Bali, I became aware that Balinese people undertake many efforts to fight plastic pollution and became really inspired by these actions.

I realised that there are many awesome brands out whose ethical and sustainable products make a positive difference but that there are hardly any online shops in Europe where customers can shop from a variety of such brands. With The Fair Tribe, I aim to make it easier for customers to find products fulfilling high ethical and environmental standards, while also providing (small) brands with a platform to show their product range.

My vision is further to create a community (or tribe) of like-minded people that allows for an exchange of information and tips on a sustainable and ethical lifestyle. At times, we may go to a grocery store and see that everyone around us shops mindlessly, using plastic bags for their plastic packaged goods that were possibly tested on animals or for which humans were exploited.

The Fair Tribe shall serve as a reminder that there is a big community of humans out there that is just as concerned about the wellbeing of our planet and creatures inhabiting it as you are! Join our tribe if you want to be part of a community of people that exchange tips on living earth-friendly, animal-friendly and human-friendly lives.

I hope that our product range will inspire you to support ethical and sustainable brands whenever you purchase something new. Keep in mind that it is not always necessary to buy something new. You may have an item at home that you can re-purpose and you may not need the thing you are considering buying. Always think twice before consuming :).

I am so excited that you are following along on this journey and look forward to engaging with you! If you have any questions or suggestions, I would love to hear from you on
